1. Define Your Goals

Our kick-off call will go over your performance goals and dig into what you want to achieve and why. This can significantly change the set up of your account and the strategy employed so its important to get clarity here. For example; a SaaS that wants to enter a new market or geography might have a higher need for brand awareness campaigns using Display or Youtube ads vs if your brand is looking to convert people at the decision stage of their buying journey. Additionally, your regular reporting would cover this monthly to make sure we were measuring our progress towards the goal.

2. Review Historical Data

Its important that we review what you’ve done until now. If you’ve had an account set up and running before working with us we want to discover what has worked and what hasnt. Learning these can help us build and create a campaign that doesnt repeat the same mistakes or can double down on the ads strategies that appear to have worked already. Your account manager will;

  • a) Review your CTR, Conversions, Conversion rate and your analytics and hubspot data.
  • b) They will then bring this to a meeting with you to gain any additional insights around the potential reasons your target audience might have responded well.
  • c) From there they will look to incorporate any learnings into their system for our campaign build and optimisation.

3. Implement Tracking

If you don’t have this installed or, if you do and are not sure if its 100% dialled in, this is where our team will start to go through it. We’ll be looking for;

  • Gaps in your tracking
  • Proper installation of all code
  • Missed conversion points that are not being counted
  • Revenue numbers and conversions that can be assigned to your leads based off of LTV and Close rates
Once all this is dialled in, our team will move on to building out your new account.

4. Build Keywords & Targeting

Your build will now start, at this stage you have been working with us for a week and we’ve checked off all the set-up and goal alignment. Now our team will jump into campaign research and building. Generally, this means our team will be;

  • Doing keyword research aligned with each of the services you offer, problems that your SaaS tool helps to solve and, the industries that you service.
  • Checking in on your Google Analytics account and reviewing your audiences.
  • Looking over any targeting data you have on your customers demographics and psychographics to determine the best place and way to engage them in search.

5. Develop Ad Copy and Creative

6. Optimise Landing Pages

With your ads approved we now move out of Google to review your landing pages and their conversion and information potential. This step can be one of the longest but most important that can be taken. Many SaaS companies miss the landing page optimisation process and fail to reap the benefits of all their hard work in creating attractive ads. In this step, we put ourselves in the perspective of your target audience and ask if they would convert if presented with this landing page experience or not. 7. Refine, review, report and improve

You’ve now gone through set up and optimisation of your account.
